Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Porter when you use our service. Last updated 3 June 2026.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Travel Global Limited trading as Porter (“Porter”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12323610). By creating an account or using Porter, you agree to these Terms. If you are using Porter on behalf of a hotel or organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it to these Terms.

2. Definitions

  • Service — the Porter platform, including the Guide and Shop modules.
  • Customer — the hotel or organisation that holds an account.
  • Guest — an end user who views a guide or interacts with the Shop.
  • Your Content — the text, images, branding and information you add to the Service.

3. Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 and use the Service for legitimate business purposes. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

4. The Service

The Service is modular:

  • Guide — a branded digital guest guide, free to use.
  • Shop — your hotel’s own online store for selling directly to guests and visitors.

We may add, change or remove features over time. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes that adversely affect paid features.

5. Plans, fees and billing

  • The Guide module is free.
  • Shop is £59 per property per month, or as otherwise stated at sign-up. Prices are exclusive of VAT or other applicable taxes unless stated.
  • Paid modules are billed in advance on a recurring basis. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period, and fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • Free trials, if offered, convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless cancelled beforehand.
  • We may change pricing on reasonable notice, effective from your next billing period.

6. Shop transactions and payments

Porter charges 0% commission on your Shop sales — you keep the full value of every sale. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider, and standard payment-processing fees set by that provider apply and are outside our control. As the merchant, you are responsible for fulfilling the products and services you sell, for accurate descriptions and pricing, for applicable taxes, and for handling refunds, cancellations and consumer-law obligations to your guests.

7. Your content and licence

You retain ownership of Your Content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, process and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to all content you upload (including images and branding) and that it does not infringe third-party rights.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service unlawfully or to publish unlawful, misleading or harmful content;
  • Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights;
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service;
  • Resell or provide the Service to third parties except as permitted;
  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications.

9. Guest data and data protection

Where you collect guest data through the Service, you are the data controller and Porter acts as your processor. You are responsible for having a lawful basis and a privacy notice for your guests. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

10. Third-party services

The Service integrates third-party providers (for example hosting, AI, maps, screenshots and payments). Their availability and terms are outside our control, and we are not responsible for third-party services.

11. Intellectual property

Porter, its software, design and trademarks are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not transfer any of our intellectual property to you, other than the limited right to use the Service as permitted.

12. Term and termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or where required for legal or security reasons. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; we may delete Your Content after a reasonable period.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

14. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, revenue, goodwill or data. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid to us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and costs arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, your Shop transactions, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence.
