How long does it take to set up?
Most hotels are live in under five minutes. You paste your website URL, we automatically extract your branding, colours, fonts and imagery, and you review the result. No designer or developer needed.
Is the Guide really free?
Yes — the branded digital Guide is free forever, with unlimited guest views and no per-room charges. You only pay if you add Shop (£59/mo) or Pulse (£39/mo).
Do you take a cut of my Shop sales?
No. Porter charges 0% commission, so you keep every penny of every sale. The only deduction is the standard payment-processing fee charged by your card provider (typically ~1.5–3%) — that’s set by them, not us, and we never add to it.
I run more than one property — is there a group plan?
Yes. Pricing is per property, and we offer volume pricing for groups and small chains. Get in touch and we’ll put together a plan that fits.
Do guests need to download an app?
Never. Your guide is a mobile-first web page guests open instantly from a QR code, email link, or your booking confirmation — nothing to install.
Can I use my own branding and domain?
Absolutely. Porter pulls your brand automatically, you can fine-tune every colour and font, and custom domains are supported so the guide feels like a natural part of your website.
Will it actually look like our brand — not a generic template?
Yes. Porter reads your existing website and builds everything in your colours, fonts, logo and photography — then you fine-tune anything and preview it before it goes live. On your own domain, guests experience it as a natural part of your hotel’s website; they never see “Porter”. It’s your brand, presented properly — not a one-size-fits-all template.
Is this another system to manage, or integrate with our PMS?
Neither. Porter sits alongside your existing PMS, booking engine and website — there’s nothing to install, no API to wire up, and no IT project. It’s a link and a QR code, so any member of your team can set it up in an afternoon. It complements your stack rather than replacing or competing with it.
Who owns the guest data and reviews?
You do. The reviews you collect and the guest data you capture are yours — exportable at any time, processed in the EU/UK, and never sold. Unlike third-party review sites, your reviews live on your guide and work for your direct bookings, not someone else’s platform.
How do you handle guest data and GDPR?
Guest data is processed in the EU/UK, never sold, and used only to power your guide and the features you enable. You can export or delete data at any time.
